About DATOS
DATOS Computer GmbH in Germany was founded 1986 in Ulm. In Wuppertal the company Thomas Damerow KG joined DATOS in 2002. The Thomas Damerow KG had about 10 years of experience in DNC and CNC machining and developed its own DNC system called syNCdata.
In 1980 DATOS Computer AG (Swiss) developed the first paper tape-editor for NC-programs.
Shortly after, the first fully integrated NC-solution for industrial computers based on DOS was designed, which included a graphic NC-editor, simulation, and tool management.
In co-operation with the many enthused users, the DATOS engineers developed the software into a groundbreaking tool for CNC-machining suited for European SMB.
Subsequent to establishing over 50 partnerships with major tool manufacturers, DATOS was first to offer fully integrated tool solutions with continuous data streams from the manufacturer catalog to the chip in the CNC-machine.
The result is leading software for tool and production data management, that is practical, easy to use, and allows safe and efficient process organization.
Although DATOS software is standardized, a DATOS project is always a customized solution depending on the specific tasks and requirements of each production.
